Ataman Studio Architects is seeking a licensed Project Architect to lead architectural design development, technical documentation, and project coordination for custom homes, residential renovations, multifamily developments, and selected commercial projects across California.
We’re looking for an experienced Project Architect who combines strong design judgment with technical expertise and effective project coordination skills.
In this role, you’ll oversee architectural development from initial concepts through construction documentation, ensuring that design decisions align with client objectives, building codes, and project requirements.
You’ll work closely with designers, engineers, consultants, and contractors to coordinate technical information, address design challenges, and maintain consistency throughout the architectural process.
Lead architectural design and documentation while coordinating the technical and creative aspects of residential and commercial projects.
Guide architectural concepts, space planning, building layouts, and design development to ensure functional, cohesive solutions aligned with project goals.
Oversee the preparation and review of architectural plans, elevations, sections, details, and technical drawing packages for permitting and construction.
Evaluate applicable building codes, zoning regulations, accessibility requirements, and other project-specific regulations throughout the design process.
Coordinate with structural engineers, MEP consultants, architectural designers, and other project professionals to maintain consistency across disciplines.
Support permit submissions, respond to plan-check comments, and coordinate architectural revisions required during the approval process.
Review relevant submittals, respond to design-related questions, and provide architectural clarifications during construction within the agreed project scope.
